A conscientization program on water pollution is a crucial initiative aimed at raising awareness, educating communities, and promoting action to address the issue of water pollution. Conscientization, a concept popularized by Brazilian educator Paulo Freire, refers to the process of critical awareness and empowerment through education.

It involves individuals critically reflecting on their social and political realities, understanding the root causes of oppression and injustice, and taking action to create positive change. At the heart of conscientization is the recognition that knowledge is power, and that by critically examining the world around us, we can challenge existing power structures and work towards a more just and equitable society. Through dialogue, reflection, and action, individuals can develop a deeper understanding of the social, economic, and political forces that shape their lives and communities.

A Concentration programme on Water pollution was conducted on 18 th January 2024 in the C1A class of St. Stephen's Higher secondary school, Pathanapauram. The class was taken to create an awareness about environmental degradation to students of C1A. The topic chosen for the programme is Water pollution one of the prominent threat faced by our nature today. Using power point presentation the various causes, effects & remedial measures of air pollution was discussed to the students of C1A. The students actively involved in the discussion and shared their thought and knowledge. Here also attaching the power point presentation of water pollution
